The LAGS Battle in Officina Dalla Corte is about to start!

This Wednesday, June 16th, 16 Latte Art Baristas will compete to demonstrate who deserves to be in the Italian finals of the Latte Art Grading System at Host 2021.

Let’s see exactly which are the patterns that the competitors will have to recreate for each level:

Green Grading

2 cappuccinos - Rosetta (min. 10 layers)

2 cappuccinos - Inverted Rosetta Tulip (4-layered Tulip, cut up to bottom)

2 espressos - Tulip (4 layers)

Time: 12 minutes.

Symmetry tolerance: 15°

Red Grading

2 cappuccinos - 2 parallel Rosettas

2 cappuccinos - Inverted Rosetta Tulip (6-layered Tulip, cut only through the Tulip)

2 espressos - Tulip (6 layers)

Time: 15 minutes.

Symmetry tolerance: 10°

Black Grading

1 cappuccino - Vortex* (15 layers)

1 cappuccino - Tulip (9 layers)

2 cappuccinos - 4 parallel Rosettas

1 espresso – Vortex* (6 layers)

1 espresso - Tulip (8 layers)

*the second element of the beginning of the Vortex must be aligned with the cup’s handle.

Time: 15 minutes.

Symmetry tolerance: 5°
