UK Barista Championship 2027: Dalla Corte Backs the Road to Tokyo

Returning as official espresso machine sponsor, Dalla Corte will support the UK Barista Championship 2027 qualifiers in Huddersfield, Edinburgh, London and Cardiff, bringing together the UK's specialty coffee talent on the road to the World Barista Championship in Tokyo.

Great coffee demands precision, consistency and creativity. At the UK Barista Championship 2027, competitors will put these qualities to the test on Dalla Corte's Zero Plus Barista espresso machines.

Powered by Dalla Corte's independent multi-boiler technology, the Zero Plus Barista maintains precise brewing temperatures at each group head, helping deliver consistent results throughout the competition. Its interface is designed for straightforward operation, allowing baristas to focus on their technique and performance. Combining temperature control, user-friendly design and professional functionality, this commercial espresso machine gives competitors a reliable platform to showcase their skills.

Dalla Corte's support goes beyond equipment, bringing together people, expertise and practical, hands-on support to help deliver each event. As well as supplying Zero Plus Barista machines for all four qualifiers, the business is mobilising its wider UK&I team and resources to support the volunteer-led SCA UK organising committee. Colleagues will contribute their time and technical expertise, from equipment setup to on-site support, helping ensure competitors have the equipment, assistance and environment they need to perform at their best.

This hands-on approach reflects the spirit of Dalla Corte's three-year sponsorship of the 2025–2027 championship seasons. More than an equipment partnership, it represents a long-term commitment to supporting the delivery of the competition, nurturing emerging talent and building stronger connections across the UK coffee community.

The qualifying rounds will take place in four cities:

SCA UK has advertised ten competitor places at each event, with the 12 highest-scoring competitors progressing to the semi-finals, currently scheduled for January 2027.

Each competitor has ten minutes to prepare an espresso, a milk beverage and a signature beverage, judged on taste, technical skill, cleanliness, creativity and presentation. The events are open to the public, offering an opportunity to discover great coffee and support talent from across the UK specialty coffee community.
