How to properly store your coffee

Sep 22, 2020

Brewing at home is a great way of exploring your love for coffee! However, you might find yourself in the situation where you realize that making a delicious cup of espresso is not as easy as your trustworthy barista makes it seem.

Let’s start from the basics and talk about proper coffee bean storage.

Nothing is worse than ruining some excellent coffee bean selections just because you haven’t stored them properly. This could mean extracting a very low-quality espresso and blaming it on your blend, on your brand new grinder and on your brand new commercial espresso machine.

First of all, you should only buy the amount of coffee you know you’ll get through in less than a month. Otherwise, air particles will ruin your beans making them lose their aroma.

Then, once you open the coffee bag, remember to always put your coffee in an airtight container and put it in a dry place, far from any heat source.

Now that your coffee beans will stay fresh and delicious, stay tuned to find out about grinding them the right way! Follow us on dallacorte_espresso , #beyourownbarista
